Hydro-Excavating (commonly referred to as daylighting, potholing, or non-destructive excavation) uses hot high-pressure water in the cold weather. and vacuum to dig a hole , without damaging underground utilities. Also, hydro-excavation is used for trenching and is used to dig for utility holes.
High-pressure water loosens the soil and the vacuum removes the slurry eliminating the need for backhoes, trenches, and hand tools used in conventional trench digging for installing underground piping. Backhoes, trenches, hand tools, and other equipment used in traditional methods are the cause of the majority of damage to utilities. Damaged lines can be extremely costly to repair and will ultimately decrease your profits. Also, traditional processes would be labor-intensive and will inevitably cost more to operate.
Hydro-excavation is a much more efficient process for excavation services, it is non-destructive to the land, and it is easier to control than traditional methods.
