How We Clean Sewer Lines
Every job starts with finding out what is actually in the line and where. From there we match the method to the problem:
- High-pressure water jetting. A jetting nozzle scours the full inside wall of the pipe and breaks up grease, scale, sand and sludge. It is our standard method for most commercial lines. Learn more about hydro jetting.
- Vacuum removal. Our combination jet-vac units pull the loosened debris out of the manhole or basin as the line is jetted, so it does not simply move downstream.
- Disposal. Sludge and liquids recovered from the line are transported and disposed of properly. For industrial streams we can profile the waste and manage the paperwork through our liquid waste disposal service.

Most sewer backups are predictable. Lines that carry grease, grit or process solids build up at a steady rate, and cleaning them on a set interval costs far less than clearing a full blockage, cleaning up an overflow and paying for downtime. What is commercial sewer cleaning?
Commercial sewer cleaning is the removal of grease, grit, sludge and debris from the sanitary and storm lines that serve plants, municipal systems and commercial properties. It is usually done with high-pressure water jetting combined with vacuum recovery, so the debris is pulled out of the system instead of pushed further down the line. How often should commercial sewer lines be cleaned?
It depends on what the line carries. Lines with heavy grease or process solids may need cleaning every few months, while storm lines and lightly loaded sanitary lines can often go a year or more. We can help you set an interval based on your lines and your history of backups.
What is the difference between sewer jetting and snaking?
